This photograph gave me great inspiration in creating my color schemes
and nameplates. Like I stated earlier in the mission we needed to create color
schemes and nameplates. It makes it much easier for me because this photo has 3 main
colors(yellow, red, and orange). It's not too much, it's not as much, it's just
right!
The objective of doing color swatches was to look at the
different tints of each color that was displayed in the photo above. These colors
are basic colors that you see on any flower. It was interesting to see how the light the tint of the orange and red colors looked.
The reason I chose Arial bold as my typeface because I wanted my
nameplate to stand out. I wanted my nameplate to look professional but at the
same time not boring. I used brackets in my nameplates because they make my nameplate look structured. I focused a lot on the center of each
text box. Everything has to look neat and structured to me.
Finding the right color scheme was not an easy
process for me. I’m not the creative type. It took me a while to find the right set of flowers with all the right colors that satisfied me. When I was looking for
colors I was looking for flowers that weren’t too colorful and could
help in creating my color schemes and nameplates. The flowers
that I decided to choose were red, orange, and yellow. I know what you are
thinking, “these are basic colors”. You are exactly right but sometimes you
have to stick to the basics. I don’t have a
particular reason why I chose all of these colors. I just found a set of flowers that had a mixture of colors that I
hadn’t seen before and I thought it was interesting because I thought that I
wouldn’t find another set of flowers that would look like this. Plus it took me
a while to find these flowers.
